Ok, who that has been down there has some advice for my boys?

Looks like we are going to have a group of about 15 going to Costa Rica for a week next summer for my Bach. Party.  We have hook-up in Tamarino (Timeshare on the beach) and Jaco (friend of a friend that can hook it up).

This is a Bach party so we need a night life.  But it would be cool to have nice beaches to chill on, ass to look at, and some nice reef and point breaks (rights, screw the goofy footers. lol).

Anyone that can speak from personal experience on either place, or another area of Costa Rica that we can not pass up.  Thanks guys.....who's got the skinny?  Feel free to talk in code and give MoFo the details.  He will be in the group.grin

hahaha - you guys are in for a good time.  It is tough to advise on this since people generally look for different things.  I know Jaco was a party scene even back in 91 and everyone I have heard from since says so too - most advise to avoid it because of the chaos.  Tamarindo is nice.  The only advice I can give is to drink lots of water.  You guys have enough time to hook up EVERYTHING you may want....  That is one hell/heaven of a bachelor's party!

Ya after talking to people I came up with the same conclusion.  Tamarindo has it all and I have wanted to surf WR ever since I watched ES2.  Short boat ride from there.  The place is acct. 20 min north of Tamarindo in Playa Coco and surounded by a vairety of point, reef, beach, and titty beaches. What else does a traveling surfer need?!?!?!  Thx for the input man

Go directly to Jaco! If you like to vacation in San Pedro, Waikiki, Venice, or any other crowded sh#thole!

My best advise? Go to the non-resort areas: ie; Dominical (good and powerful beachbreak), Cabo Matapalo for true tropical jungle with many right points, Playa Santa Teresa (Mal Pais area) for some of the most consistant surf on the coast. (and on a BIG south... there is a lefthand reef that rivals Fiji), and if swell and time permits... PAVONES
here are some pics from my trips...

GRJ, I seem to recgnize that green board in the top pics. Nice bucket! grin

brye... sigh.... screw you man devil I ONLY suggested it because you originally said that amajority of he guy going do not surf so you were more interested in a party town because we would be able to find surf there anywhere for sure anyway. I did NOT want to go to Jaco. Last time I reiterate this point. monkey
