Ya know that place that I keep pointing out just south of where I last met you and Gunner to surf??? Ya Know the Old timers used to call "The Guayule Pt."....
I took some pics there this morning,...and It's only going to get better!
i've never surfed that spot
it gets really good though, mostly longboarders unless there is some size.

Phil Edwards used to be known as "The Guayule Kid" because this was his Surfbreak, and this is where you could find him!

Yepper! I guess that the Class #1 Motorhomes didn't inhibit the crowds from that spot today, that's for sure.... Some friends went to the northern part of that place and went out where there is no structure (s)... and said besides the wildly closing out walled off sets, and the constant paddle to find position aginst the current,... it was possible to find a rideable wave or two!!!!
I dunno!!!! I had a bunch of headhighs yesterday with NO crowd,....and today there are just too many "Knuckleheads" out... Tomorrow will be worse.. and sunday prolly will be as bad as tomorrow except maybe just before dark... I just may shine on the weekend and ditch work on monday!
Just a little over 1/4 th mile south of the Guayule Pt. is another break,, some friends of mine were at and somebody else was taking some pics there... it's called T- - n - - - - n - s so I got a cupla pics from there yesterday too! .... One wave.... and One wave with a not fun ending!!!!

I saw you wandering on the sidewalk one morning as I was returning from a sesh. at Trap's/Barney's/Turtle's...but there was no place to park and catch you when I turned around at Tamarak...but that was a while ago...
This week will be difficult as I go back on call,... but Maybe!!!!
I plan on hitting the same spot (if the surf is good) or wandering somewhere else on Sunday. I will drop you a line later today or tomorrow.
Yea,... Hit Me,... Maybe for sunday.... I'm just getting over the Flu, and now my wife is coming down with it... If I'm better and not taking care of her,... I'll be paddling out on sunday....
sorry man I have flaked on you. I am usually going to the same spot as it is not crowded and it has a good right. Where you might ask? The one spot where you saw me checking the surf and it was almost flat. Remember? You called me to tell me you saw me but I was stupid and didn't call you back? I had my son with me which I finally got into surfing.

Not much going for surf right now... hit it early and get out before the tide....Weird too... water is warm but air is cold....
Next weekend is "Sacred Craft"....Dick Brewer is supposed to be in the area sometime tonight...
Guess they are throwing a Birthday bash for him in Solana Beach tomorrow night...but he is shaping at "Sacred Craft" Del Mar... I'm going to miss it as I have to be in LA for a previous arangement...
But I know where Brewer will be tomorrow, and will go see him to shoot the shit...
