So Matt479 and I are headed south to Nicaragua on Friday. I pull out my boards that are going last night to get them ready ------- WTF!!!! My daily board, my manny quad, all the glass around one of the fin boxes is shattered and falling off! FUGG... I am seriously hurting for boards. I guess it happened when i surfed the NW this Saturday and didnt notice. Started the repair work and hoping for the best i guess.... so i'm taking a buckled 6'5 thruster and a beat 5'9 quad.
i'm now at a total lost as far as which boards to bring. damn Taca and their two board limit.
ecr - that's probably a good idea to take two beater boards. could even sell/leave them down there and save money on the bag fees coming back.
Oh... go to hell... both of you.

its not the new quad - I lost a fin on that one too -LOL
Nica would love to be the new CR but is severly lacking the infrastructure - roads, electricity, phones, etc.

Saturday the 27th south swell from 182 degrees backs off to the chest to overhead range. Periods push back to 15 seconds.
Sunday the 28th looks very similar to Saturday with chest to overhead surf from around 175 degrees. This steep swell could be hard to reach some particular spots, and wave heights are specific to stand out breaks.
Monday the 29th a larger pulse from the SW (229 degrees) fills in with 16 seconds kicking the surf up to the overhead+ range and possible a couple feet overhead at stand out breaks. Swell will most likely continue from the south as well, although size will be more chest high+.
Tuesday the 30th we’ll see the Monday’s swell peak with overhead+ to a couple feet overhead surf from around 228 degrees; periods at 15 seconds.
Further out, are several SW pulses due for the first week of July, so there should be plenty of surf going around… Stay tuned for updates.

pics ECR posted were "small" days where this beach break was pretty much the only option as other spots had went flat. still it was HH+. kind of closed out but sucking barrells. weird spot. beach break but it broke more like a reef.
good surf, food, and people. fun times!
