Cool. I almost drifted up close to there a couple of times yesterday. I saw a bunch there on that peak. Look fun. I was prolly an 1/16th of a mile south of the pizza house... out in front of the vertical sand berm. I had the whole spot to myself for a good hour and was just having fun being out there in that gorgeous weather morning!

saturday was alright but i think i shoulda got there earlier....
the really good pics i got were of sunday as is the above shot....
i haven't even really worked on the ones of saturday yet!
will post some more in a bit....
sunday was THROWING though...before the wind switched to from the north!
you guys crack me up...!

local surfers were jumping with joy early this morning upon
discovering that the swell had gotten even bigger overnight....!
and there was none of saturday and sunday's intense crowd
to deal with....another added attraction was the surf was cleaner
and the swell more focused....as well as from a photographic standpoint
there was good lighting with a little overcast and none of the blinding
glare that accompanied the weekend's blazing sunny days....
i shot the jetty early in the am.....then later magilla and bad brad the baja lizard
and myself headed north into the wilds of the ventura county coast and
we scored some beautiful afternoon conditions with howling offshore winds....
overhead surf....and a fantastic lime green backlight in the waves....
if it weren't for something flying into my right eye later in the day and temporarily
blinding me for the remainder it would have been an absolutely perfect freaking day!!!

but theres still no work out there (or not much at all)....
the ocean water temps are still butt-chilly!
the traffic on the 405 still moves at a snails pace....
but i finally snapped the neck of that low down dirty rat
thats been living in my garage....heh heh....
peanut butter on a rat trap works wonders!
next week i think i'll cash out my ira....
buy a plane ticket to paradise somewhere....
live on mangos and papaya....
and solo pefect warm water waves for a spell!

hahaha... second shot up is a locals only spot for sure. There's been a few days I've almost paddled out there on a bodyboard but needed another bodyboarder to help me hold it down. That spot is a mirror right of Redondo Beach Breakwater.
