soooooo......
looks like the way things be going....
no tengo mucho dinero....(but have this travelin' and campin' itch that has to get scratched regular like)
i may be back in broome territory during the yuletide week....
cheap camp fees....cheap gas expenditures....and perfect for a cheap ol' sob like me....
as well as be spending some time around new years....(great place to throw a safe n' sane new years eve party!)
(nobody drives anywhere- nobody goes home- everybody crashes out on la playa)
we used to camp out EVERY year on new years eve and have a slideshow earlier on in the evening....(weather permitting)
sounds like a good time to re-start old traditions....
maybe perhaps put the word out NOW.....
INVITE everybody and their MOTHER....(that way we know mud won't show- cause he don't go ANYWHERE he's invited!)....(heh heh).....(tsk tsk).....(just farking kidding you sensitive old loon!)
and SURF any and all nearby beachbreaks....reefbreaks....and pointbreaks that happen to be breaking!
any thoughts from you MOFO'ers?

my friend ended up in Kuwait a few years back. Some how he managed to bring one of his boards. He said there wasn't any surf, but he was able to get the kids out in the water on his board. They were stoked even with no waves.

Great pic. Too funny, was he Navy? He had to be to get that board there. I use to hide mine in the communication shiping containers. Ahhh... the good ol days.

winter swell i miss it

so we went camping at broomeland again last night....
got some decent pics in that area on saturday....
but wasn't as big or as good as friday....
got some rain up there last night...
and then this morning everything looked like hell.....
windy overcast stormy angry seas with not much swell to speak of!
hooked up with that mofo character this am and shot some pics anyway.....
had some fun up there....
did some night time exposures last night over the point....
had the obligatory beach bonfire.....
nobody from that neighborhood even came by 'cept mofo this morning....
never hooked up with hyser...
magilla bailed on the whole thing....
the swell never showed up....
but they dropped the camping fees there to ELEVEN DOLLARS!
woooohoooo!
think i'm gonna go stay up there for the rest of the month!!

Thanks again MC for meeting up, I'm stoked you scored on the camping site again. I already told the wifey about that spot, it's a done deal for a future campsite. However... we need to work on meeting up when it's not blown out some time, lol.
