OK. Here's a couple from one of the hurricane swells in Sept.
(Edit)
The date is actually Sept 7. Two different spots.
Funny, when I edited the text the images disappeared.
This new format will take some getting used to, I'm sure.

hey, chumashman, where are ya at again? here's my pic from Sept. 7...in FL that was Hannah swell, but further north maybe it was Faye or Gustav? I can't remember, it was a blur of surf for a couple of weeks, one right after another.  Laughing

I am not at liberty to divulge my exact location.
I am well North of Fla.

...so the pic is flopped? With that and the aqua blue colored water I wouldn't have guessed the Wedge.

yes one of those plastic wrist pro thingys (about as far from 'pro' as it gets really), and it was with film. used an entire roll and got like 5 decent shots but it was a fun experiment. if getting caught inside up around my hood didn't involve a good chance of that thing getting ripped off i'd use it up here.

some shots from this afternoon, another long session, this one 3 hours. right hand point break, negative low tide, fast inside walling section and the outside had a great couple of ledges before reforming. 6'6" swallow tail was the call again

Ok so apparently I have to put them in this reply, but thats cool. I also think they are ordered in reverse, but I'm learning the ins and outs of this BB so whatever, next time I'll get it right.

So who else has been SCORING lately?

I went out yesterday morning just south of Taramar point in Carlsbad. Pretty much almost every wave I dropped into was a nice wave for a nose ride so I took advantage of it. Out of something like 15 to 20 waves I caught that morning, I was on the nose about 75% of the time. The off shores was great and the sun was bright as hell. Then in the evening I took my kids to Taramar Point at the neg low tide to the tide pools. Saw a sea slug and an octopus. It was a great time and I plan on taking them back next week when the low tide is present again but earlier in the afternoon so we have more time to explore.

curious but what are all those black dots in the water? If those are not people, I don't care how cold it looks, I would go out.

I think they're called birds.

If they are, it's very strange that they're working the water inside the break zone.....even if they know how to duck and swim Cool
