6:30 AM, Porto is waist high, a little walled. One person out in the darkness. Chilly!

10am, swell is coming in, caught an overhead set wave, very nice. Seemed to be the only one of the morning though. Head high sets for the most part, pretty walled...the tweeners have the best shape...as usual. Crowd was pretty small...guess the hype scared them away...still a number of half retards out.
sesioned with all the boys this morning. mofo was out first, then me & shred joined in, then matt479 showed up as i was leaviing.
waves were less than ideal but whatever. long interval 3-4 footers. beautiful conditions. lots of walls.
It was good to get a little surf in before the goods in a day or so.
pretty fun today. not epic, but fun. got some good rights. sets were super inconsistent. the current on the north end was STRONG. had to always paddle in toward the beach or you'd immediately get sucked out to the harbor. so caught my share and went in. didn't want to burn myself out on paddling as hopeful tomorrow is better. today was more about getting back into rhythm.

no contest today at ventura point (aka c-street). so guess there's no contest tomorrow. it look pretty fun there today, but SUPER SUPER SUPER SUPER.....did I mention SUPER inconsistent. hope tomorrow is a little better as the tide should just be right
HB was tiny - maybe waist high at best. I really need waves. Hopefully tomorrow will be good.
cool thanks that settles it...see you guys at the top of the point...DP...
Porto is overhead and closed out...I'm sure the rocks are good, along with usual crew. Not much of a crowd today.

Just finished walking the mutt and took another look....saw more people get pitched than make waves. Makeability is a serious question.
i'd say sunday afternoon was the best day so far for this swell in n.sd county.
somewhat consistent HH+ 3 wave sets with some bigger sets every 30minutes or so
regular board was just fine
although, i saw lottsa heavy equipment ![]()
Steamroller, I tried to tell you to go to __bs_n but I couldn't log on for some reason.
Porto this morning is a little smaller, but still walled and unmakeable on the set waves. Wait until this afternoon, the tide has been doing serious damage to wave size.
Porto this morning....waaay smaller, tide did a number things. It is fun, but slow. Shoulder high sets max...mostly chest to waiste high waves..

don't normal call this, but SS almost ALL TIME yesterday afternoon. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much fun![]()
County this morning: Niiiiiiiiiiiice. Very nice. Absolutely perfect conditions, and lots and lots of waves. Some of them were even overhead. Well, a couple of them anyway. It felt like the tide was a little high or something, because they were kind of hard to get into, but that might have been because I took my 7'6", the one I never ride, instead of my log. I would have made out like a bandit on the log, but for some reason I didn't think that would be sporting. Not that it stopped anyone else. Tell me, am I the only one who suffers from longboard guilt? Apparently.
Once the tide dropped it got a little better. It was breaking all over the place so lots of waves went unridden even though it was a tad crowded. I left a little before ten, and it was still looking really fun.
I wish it was like that every day.
